      Explore the Nebuta Museum Wa Rasse, home to the towering illuminated floats of Aomori’s most iconic festival. Afterwards, stroll over to A-Factory next door, where you can browse for the perfect omiyage and sample local specialties. Continue on to the Sannai-Maruyama Jōmon Prehistoric Settlement (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and delve into the lives of Japan’s earliest communities.     • Ashino Park and Aomori

      Take in the beauty of Tsuru no Mai Bridge, Japan’s longest triple-arched wooden bridge, before heading to the scenic Tsugaru Peninsula. From Goshogawara Station, board a charming local train that carries you straight into Ashino Park—an impressive cherry blossom haven with more than 1,500 sakura trees in bloom.

      On your return to Aomori City, stop at the atmospheric Takayama Inari Shrine, famed for its striking pathway of a thousand red torii gates winding up the hillside. Then, enjoy some free time to browse at Dream Town Ali mall, where you’ll find shops like Daiso, Uniqlo, and many more.

    • To Hokkaido

      Make your way to Shin-Aomori Station and board the shinkansen bullet train bound for Hakodate—an approximately one-hour journey that takes you through the Seikan Tunnel, the longest undersea tunnel in the world. Upon arrival in Hokkaido, enjoy the serene scenery of Lake Onuma Quasi-National Park, where you can sample the park’s famous Onuma dango and take a relaxing mini-cruise across the lake.

      As you continue toward Hakodate, stop at the beloved Hakodate Milk Ice 118 to indulge in ice cream crafted from fresh local milk. Then wander among the cherry blossoms at the historic Goryōkaku Park and admire the star-shaped fortress from Goryōkaku Tower.

      In the afternoon, visit the tranquil Trappist Monastery, known for producing some of Hokkaido’s most beloved butter cookies. Then return to Hakodate to wander through the charming, historic Motomachi district.

      This evening, take a short ropeway ride up Mt. Hakodate to soak in its legendary night view—celebrated as one of Japan’s “Three Best Nightscapes.”
