Garden Necklace Yokohama
“ Garden Necklace Yokohama 2025” is an event that connects Yokohama’s cityscape with beautiful flowers and greenery, like a necklace of vibrant nature. As you explore the city, you can enjoy a stunning relay of seasonal blooms, from cherry blossoms and tulips to roses. Some of the highlights of the event is the display of over 2,000 varieties of roses, the "Yokohama Hizakura", cherry blossom named after the city, and the "Lover’s Town" tulip, exclusively grown in Yokohama.
With just two years to go until GREEN × EXPO 2027, or the International Horticultural Expo 2027, Yokohama is actively showcasing the beauty of flowers and greenery. On March 19 (Wednesday), a special "2 Years to Go" Ceremony was held to mark the countdown to this grand event. The official mascot, "Tunku Tunku," now has its own merchandise available, and the official website is gradually being rolled out across Japan.
GREEN × EXPO 2027 will feature 10 million plants and flowers, along with a breathtaking cherry blossom corridor of over 600 trees across 40 varieties. Stay tuned for this spectacular celebration of nature!
