One of Yokohama’s must-visit sightseeing spots is the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, a historic red brick building housing stylish shops and cafes for the perfect combination of shopping and gourmet experiences.
A highlight of winter is the Christmas Market at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, running from Friday, November 21 to Thursday, December 25, 2025. The market features a real fir tree upgraded to about 12 meters tall, adorned with over 20,000 LED lights creating a magical atmosphere.
Around 60 market stalls offer authentic German cuisine such as sausages, stollen, and mulled wine, alongside Christmas-themed goods like snow globes. Experience the festive glow of the historic warehouse for an unforgettable holiday visit.

Sakedokoro Nabegoya 2026 by Daisho
One of Yokohama’s winter highlights, Sakedokoro Nabegoya 2026 by Daisho, will be held at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse from Jan 17 to Feb 1, 2026. Enjoy 18 regional hot pot varieties from across Japan and over 100 select Japanese sakes at this gourmet event.
Celebrating its 10th edition with the theme “Utage (Feast),” the event features stage performances, food stalls, and traditional festival games. Guests can experience authentic Japanese hospitality by cooking hot pot dishes in cozy kotatsu spaces.
Warm up with delicious nabe (hot pot) and sake while soaking in the charm of winter in Yokohama.

Yorunoyo 2025
Yokohama, newly selected as one of Japan’s top three nightscape cities, proudly presents one of the country’s largest illumination events, “Yorunoyo 2025.” This flower-themed festival runs from Dec 4 to Dec 30, 2025.
The highlight is the spectacular “Highlight of Yokohama,” featuring 46 participating venues. Over a 3km (1.8 miles) route from Minato Mirai to Yamashita Park, the entire city comes alive with synchronized lights and music for a breathtaking 5-minute show.
At the Osanbashi venue, a 25m (82ft) illuminated whale swims in Japan’s largest projection mapping display, while the Yamashita Park site showcases interactive digital art over 250m (820ft) featuring glowing floral motifs.
Enjoy this magical illumination experience as Yokohama blossoms in light.
