After graduating from Senzoku Gakuen College of Music and completing its affiliated Master Course in Conducting, he launched his professional career as Assistant Conductor of the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra. Since then, he has guest-conducted numerous orchestras, including the Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra, Yamagata Symphony Orchestra, Gunma Symphony Orchestra, Chiba Symphony Orchestra, Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra, Japan Century Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, Osaka Symphony Orchestra, Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, Central Aichi Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, and Okayama Philharmonic Orchestra.
He studied conducting under Kazuyoshi Akiyama, Yoshitomo Kawachi, and Nobutaka Masui, and score reading under Reiko Shimada. Currently, he serves as the Principal Conductor of the Ryukyu Philharmonic Orchestra, Music Director of Blitz Philharmonic Winds, Principal Guest Conductor of the Grand Philharmonic Tokyo, and a lecturer at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music. He is also active as a comedian in the duo “Jajajajajan,” appearing on television programs such as Nippon TV’s Uchi no Gaya ga Sumimasen! and advancing to the third round of the M-1 Grand Prix comedy competition.

Grand Philharmonic Tokyo

Originally established in 2018 as the Tokyo Impressive Orchestra, the group brings together top-level performers active both in Japan and abroad, as well as up-and-coming young musicians. Making its debut at the 35th Anniversary Kiyotaka Sugiyama Symphonic Concert 2018, the orchestra has since performed with artists across genres, including Taeko Onuki, Kiyoharu, Sachiko Kobayashi, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Kiyotaka Sugiyama, and Akira Senju. In January 2020, the orchestra was renamed “Grand Philharmonic Tokyo.”
The orchestra has been featured in a wide range of projects, such as the symphonic music drama Listen to the Light: Honeybees and Distant Thunder, the Persona 25th Anniversary Symphonic Concert, the Tokyo Game Show 25th Anniversary Symphonic Online Concert, and GameCenter CX Symphony. It has also contributed recordings for projects including SQUARE ENIX’s Triangle Strategy, Netflix’s Rilakkuma and Kaoru, TBS drama VIVANT, and the Shochiku film Hello, Mother. As a next-generation orchestra, it has garnered attention across diverse fields for its innovative presence.
In April 2022, the orchestra welcomed composer Akira Senju as Executive Producer, and appointed Katsuhiro Ida and Hiroyasu Matsumoto as Principal Guest Conductors, in anticipation of further expansion.

Mari Yoshida

Singer and lyricist. As the first female guest vocalist featured in several globally popular video game titles, Mari Yoshida contributed vocals to background music and image songs for games such as Armored Core: Verdict Day (“Cosmos - New Version”) and Yakuza 0 (“Raign”). Her vocal performances have made a significant impact on these series. In addition to game music, she has also provided vocals for commercials and participated as a chorus singer in numerous well-known works, expanding her presence in the entertainment industry, particularly in the gaming world.

A sound creator at FromSoftware, Kota Hoshino has been responsible for the sound design of the Armored Core series since his involvement in Armored Core: Master of Arena. As the main composer for the series, he has produced a wide range of tracks across genres such as techno and rock. He most recently served as the lead composer for Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon.

SPECIAL MESSAGES

Yasunori Ogura / General Producer, ARMORED CORE Series
Thanks to the generous support of many people, we are proud to present the very first orchestral concert dedicated to the ARMORED CORE series.
I’m truly excited to hear the music of ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON reborn through classical orchestration. This concert will be a rare and precious experience for all fans, so I hope you will join us.
Let’s enjoy this new ACVI world together, brought to life by the rich sound of a live orchestra.

Kota Hoshino / Main Composer
Hello everyone, this is Hoshino from FromSoftware.
The music of ARMORED CORE has its roots in electronic, techno-influenced minimalism, often featuring computer-generated sounds and synthesizers.
While the series has evolved over time, few of its tracks were ever composed with orchestral arrangements in mind. Now, for the first time, ARMORED CORE music will be performed live by a full orchestra! I’m extremely excited to see how these tracks will transform in this new format.

Mari Yoshida / Guest Vocal, Singer & Lyricist
Congratulations on the ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON concert!
Since ARMORED CORE VERDICT DAY, I’ve had the pleasure of working with FromSoftware on recordings and live performances, including chorus recordings for FIRES OF RUBICON.
Now, with this concert, we are about to make yet another unforgettable memory together. I’m so excited to share this special experience with everyone attending.
Let’s enjoy the concert to the fullest!
